maryland state trooper is still recovering from a run in with a tractor trailer back in june. it started with a routine traffic stop on i-10 west in western maryland. roosevelt leftwich is here with the story and the incredible video. >> the state trooper probably never thought he would wind up in a truck sway and something like that would happen to him. this was taken from the dashboard cam. he is speaking to the driver of an suv and seconds later that happened on the right shoulder. the tractor trailer was driving too close to the shoulder and slammed in to the cruiser and right in to the trooper. heard the rumble strip, but just before the vehicle came across, or came towards me. >> some how the trooper managed to get to the guardrail and radio for help. right now, he has an injured

a hoax, that left dozens of people upset and wasted a ton of police reresource, one phone call diverts a flight. two wound up under arrest. >> reporter: it was a bomb scare that forced this u.s. airways plane heading from philadelphia to dallas fort worth, to turn around thursday morning. forcing the fbi to intervene. all because of a former girlfriend seeking revenge, after compromising photos of her were posted on facebook. >> five games came on the plane. he did an abrupt 90-degree turn. >> the 29 year old, chris shell, was the victim of a cruel joke. >> all indications are, this was a hoax and a nasty trick was played on a passenger. >> reporter: his ex- girlfriend's allege aid couch ed

verdict for drew peterson talked about their decision. hearsay was critical in their desis. a jury convicted the former police officer of murdering his third wife, kathleen savio. outside the courthouse, the family showed emotion. finally, somebody heard kathleen's crys, 12 people did the right thing, thank god. >> i will never have my sister again. i have to see her at the cemetery. >> kathleen was found dead in her bathtub in the thousand 4- gs her death was initially ruled an accident but the case was later re-opened in 2007, that happened after peterson's forty wife went missing, he was never charged in her disappearance. peterson faces 60 years in prison and scheduled to be sentenced in november. his attorneys plan to appeal. we are rocking it today.

mammograms could raise the risk of breast cancer in young women whose genes put them at higher risk for the disease. the study done found the added radiation could be harmful to women with the breast cancer gene. one in 400 women have the gene. mammograms save lives and beneficial for women age 50 and older. . researchers say they found a
